and preparing COSHH Assessments, workplace safety audits, site inspections and
accident investigation.
Robert Skinner CMIOSH, RMaPS, is the Managing Director of Derwent Safety
Centre Ltd. He has worked in the construction industry since leaving
school and started his health and safety career and consultancy business in
1991.
Robert is a past Chair of the IOSH Consultancy Group, an active member of
the Federation of Small Businesses Health and Safety Policy Committee, a member
of the British Occupational Hygiene Society, a Registered member of The
Association for Project Safety, Vice chair of the Heating and Ventilating
Contractors’ Association Midlands Safety Group and a committee member and past
Chairman of the Midlands Construction Safety Association.
In addition Robert has joined the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants'
Register - OSHCR - the online consultants' register launched in January
2011.
All consultants who join the register are bound by their professional
body/bodies code of conduct and are committed to providing sensible and
proportionate advise.
In addition Robert is actively involved with the Nottingham Branch of the
Lighthouse Club, the national construction industry charity, which raises funds
through events to support people working in the Industry and the dependants of
people who have died following an accident.
