Work at Height

Duration 1 Day
Intended For Supervisory or skilled personnel with responsibilities for others (including contractors) when undertaking tasks involving working at height.
Course Aims To provide candidates with information on the legal requirements and associated risk assessment process required to ensure safe working at height.
Course Objectives On completion of the course delegates will be able to:


- State the broad principles of Health and Safety Legislation
- State the preventative and protective measures available to prevent falls
- Undertake an assessment of risk relating to their work 'at height'

Course Content As follows:


- Broad Criminal and Civil responsibilities and liabilities
- Legislation/Legal Requirements
- Specific requirements relating to work platforms
- Practical exercises, hazard spotting and risk assessment when using mobile elevating work platforms and alloy towers

Presentation The course content will be introduced via formal presentation and participative training techniques, using visual aids and practical exercises to confirm understanding.
