Safe Erection of Mobile Alloy Towers and Ladders

Duration 1 Day
Intended For All employees undertaking tasks involving the erection and use of mobile tower scaffolds and the use of ladders.
Course Aims To provide candidates with both practical and theoretical experience of the legal requirements and standards required to ensure safe working with towers and ladders.
Course Objectives On completion of the course delegates will be able to:


- Demonstrate the ability to physically erect and dismantle mobile towers and ladders safely
- State the general requirements of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 applicable to mobile towers and ladders
- Select appropriate devices to aid ladder safety
- Inspect equipment and recognise common faults
- Identify hazards and assess risk when using towers and ladders
- Conduct an inspection and record findings in line with the legislative requirements

- Work at Height Regulations 2005 and other related legislation
- Current Health and Safety Executive Guidance
- Basic Principles of Erection
- Short Video
- Practical Exercises including Risk Assessment
- Review/Summary

Presentation The course content will be introduced via formal presentation and participative training techniques, using visual aids and practical exercises to confirm understanding.
